I would definitely work with an analytics person to do a deep dive into your analytics and help paint a more accurate picture for you on this. However, any change in traffic can affect conversions. It’s showing you that direct traffic is your main source of conversions. Typically direct traffic are people who are already familiar with your site. Since the other new users are down, it could mean that they just aren’t familiar with your site yet.
